Last night’s achievements at the Annie Awards included 2 wins for Laika’s “The Boxtrolls”. It’s a surreal honor. Below is the acceptance speech, as I support Paul Lasaine from the left shadows.

The Golden Globes nominated “The Boxtrolls” for Best Animated Feature. Below is a response from Laika’s leader.
“How wonderful! My sincere thanks to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for honoring The Boxtrolls with this nomination. Nearly 10 years in the making, The Boxtrolls was a labour of wholehearted love crafted a frame at a time. From the inky black puppet mines in Portland to the well-appointed recording studios in London, our production was blessed with diverse and passionate artists of the highest calibre: brilliant actors, visionary directors, and a sublimely gifted crew. I’m so pleased that their prodigious talents have been so meaningfully recognised.”
Travis Knight producer, The Boxtrolls.

The Annie Awards announced “The Boxtrolls” in the lead with 13 nominations for 2015. I’m blessed to be placed nominated with my team members, Paul Lasaine and Tom McClure. None of this could also be possible without the vision of concept artist Michel Breton and talent of illustrators Ean McNamara and Trevor Dalmer.
