Sound Garden

I painted this in 2006, 30 x 40 acrylic on reeves bfk printing paper. My love for music guides me in almost all of my work and I usually have headphones on at the studio. This image is based on my wife and her Sony headphones from when she once was a hobby dj, which is one of the reasons I bonded to her. I named this piece after Nick Warren’s monthly radio show mainly because he’s her favorite dj/producer, but also the bliss his sets have gifted us throughout our relationship.
